places i've called home

publication design / writing

Places I’ve Called Home was a project I had the opportunity to make thanks to the publication grant offered by the Fine Arts Reading Room at Concordia. My intentions were to create a zine that focused on my personal experiences with gentrification revolving around the three cities that I’ve lived in, Toronto, Montreal and New Orleans. The zine features all original photography, collected over the years during my time in each city, as well as a risograph printed cover and a digitally printed interior. Places I’ve Called Home won “Best English Zine” at the 2019 Expozine awards, and was reviewed by Broken Pencil Magazine, which you can find here.
